Hyundai workshop and body shop

Hyundai has climbed steadily up Italian buyers' shortlists thanks to its 5-year manufacturer's warranty (longer than the EU standard) and a mature hybrid and electric range. We regularly work on the Tucson (the brand's best-seller), the i20, the Bayon, the Kona, and on the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6. Hyundai's engineering philosophy is reliability at a contained cost, which translates in the workshop into predictable, well-documented jobs. Tommy By is an independent multi-brand workshop: under EU Regulation 461/2010 (Block Exemption), the Hyundai 5-year warranty stays valid when you service here, provided the work is carried out at the prescribed intervals, with parts of equivalent quality and the booklet stamped.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Hyundai

Do you handle the Hyundai 5-year warranty without voiding it?

Yes. The Hyundai 5-year warranty does not require services to be carried out at an authorised dealer, but it does require them to be performed at the prescribed intervals, with original parts or certified equivalents, and documented in the service booklet. We carry out the scheduled service respecting these requirements and stamp the maintenance log correctly.

Do you work on the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 on the 800V E-GMP platform?

Yes. The 800V E-GMP platform can be handled with compatible multi-brand diagnostic tooling. We carry out standard maintenance (cabin filter, brakes, tyres, climate control), check the state of health of the HV battery pack and manage the battery cooling system. For complex cell-level work on the HV battery we refer the car to a Hyundai specialist centre.

Do you have diagnostics compatible with SmartSense ADAS and Bluelink?

Yes. SmartSense is Hyundai's ADAS package (autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping, adaptive cruise): after windscreen or bumper replacement, the cameras and radar need to be calibrated, and we carry this out with compatible equipment. For Bluelink (telematics and app), connectivity is managed by the customer, but we can update the infotainment firmware when releases are available.
