Where we reach in north-west Milan.

Typical client zones, between Milan and the north-west metropolitan area. Our single location in Mazzo di Rho comfortably covers the whole area.

MI

Arese

Arese carries a specific automotive history: the Alfa Romeo plant that shaped the town's planning for nearly fifty years, today coexisting with one of Italy's largest shopping malls. The result: 19,000 residents and a daily flow of commuters, mall workers and visitors. For many of them, leaving the car with us while running errands at the mall or visiting the Alfa Romeo Museum is the most practical solution among workshops in the north-western catchment.

Bollate

Bollate is the most populated municipality among those gravitating around our location: 36,000 inhabitants spread across the historic centre, the villages (Ospiate, Cassina Nuova, Cascina del Sole) and the industrial belt along the A4-A52 axis. The relationship between Tommy By and Bollate runs in two directions: for cars it's us in Mazzo di Rho, for ADR transport of dangerous goods it's BYLO Transport, the other company of BYLO Group, headquartered right in Ospiate. From central Bollate to our workshop it's 4 km and 7 minutes via SP233.

Cornaredo

Cornaredo and its village of San Pietro all'Olmo form a municipality of 21,000 inhabitants sitting on the border between the Milan metropolitan area and the Southern Agricultural Park (Parco Agricolo Sud). Our location is 6 km away, reachable in 10 minutes via SP172. The defining feature of Cornaredo's territory is low residential density with many detached and semi-detached houses: in practice, a concentration of second cars and motorcycles per household above the provincial average.

Garbagnate Milanese

Garbagnate Milanese (26,000 inhabitants) is shaped by two realities: the hospital hub of the Istituti Clinici di Perfezionamento, one of the main healthcare facilities in the northern province, and a historic engineering district that forged the town's industrial identity. Our location is 6 km away, reachable in 11 minutes via SP233 or via A9 with the Lainate exit. For those working in the hospital or in local engineering firms, the issue is often not distance but finding a workable time slot to drop the car off.

Lainate

Lainate sits on the Varesina axis and acts as a hinge between the Milan metropolitan area and the Varese province. Twenty-six thousand inhabitants, a Villa Litta with its famous Baroque Nymphaeum among the cultural attractions of northern Milan, and an industrial district historically strong in ceramics and construction. Our location is 6 km away, reachable in 11 minutes via SS233 southbound. For Lainate residents it's one of the few routes where the motorway (A8 with the Lainate exit) and the provincial road don't differ meaningfully in travel time.

Legnano

Legnano is a city of sixty thousand inhabitants, the real hub of upper Milan: the historic heart of the Olona textile district, a city palio that draws tens of thousands of people every June, the ASST Ovest Milanese hospital, and an industrial belt stretching from Castellanza toward southern Legnano. Our location is 13 km away, reachable in 18 minutes via A8 Milan-Lakes with the Castellanza-Legnano exit. It's further than the local town workshops, but for anyone needing complete body shop work or a facility that can handle multiple company vehicles in parallel, the drive can be worth it.

Mazzo di Rho

Mazzo di Rho is the village of Rho where our location sits, and for local residents we're the neighborhood workshop — the one you can reach on foot or with five minutes on a bike from most streets. Via Venanzio Buzzi runs through the heart of Mazzo and hosts a good share of the local shops and craft businesses: our neighborhood clientele is largely made up of people who know us by sight, who walk past the workshop every day and who trust us with their car knowing exactly where we are.

Milan

For Milan residents the issue is almost never finding a workshop — the city has hundreds. The issue, more and more often, is finding one reachable with your own vehicle, especially if it's a Euro 5 diesel under Area B restrictions, or if you're looking for water-based oven painting, which is rare within the city due to logistical constraints. Our location in Mazzo di Rho is 14 km from central Milan, entirely outside Area B and Area C, reachable in 20 minutes via the A50 western ring road outside peak hours.

Pero

Pero is Milan's western gateway, along SS33 Sempione and at the entrance to the A50 western ring road. Eleven thousand inhabitants, a transit position that means the town is constantly crossed by traffic flowing in and out of the city. Our location is 4 km away, reachable in 8 minutes by car. Proximity to the Milan Trade Fair (Rho-Pero) adds a second customer base: exhibitors, setup crews and service staff who, during trade shows, find themselves far from home with a vehicle issue.

Pogliano Milanese

Pogliano Milanese is a municipality of 8,000 inhabitants located 6 km north-west of our location, reachable in 11 minutes via SP109. The territory is predominantly residential with a farming tradition, away from the heavy traffic of the Sempione or the A8. For Pogliano residents our location is the first alternative when water-based oven body painting is needed, or when you want to combine workshop and body shop in a single visit — services that small local workshops don't always offer.

Pregnana Milanese

Pregnana Milanese is one of the closest municipalities to our location: 3 km, 6 minutes by car via SP109. With its 7,000 inhabitants it's a small municipality, but with a useful feature for anyone wanting to leave their car at the workshop — the train station on the Milan-Novara line (S6), which lets you get around without depending on a replacement car.

Rho

Rho is our home municipality: Mazzo di Rho is one of its villages, and a good share of Tommy By's long-standing clientele comes from central Rho, Corso Garibaldi, the streets around the ASST Rhodense hospital and the Milan Trade Fair area (Rho-Pero). Our location is 3 km from the town centre, 6 minutes by car via Via Madonna or SP109. For many Rho residents we're "the local workshop" — the one you can reach without leaving your own town.

Sesto San Giovanni

Sesto San Giovanni is Lombardy's fifth-largest municipality by population (81,000 inhabitants), a former twentieth-century steel hub (Falck, Breda, Marelli) today repurposed into a services, research and university district (Bicocca). Our location is 22 km away, reachable in 30 minutes via the A51 eastern ring road and A50 western ring road. Honestly, it's further than our natural catchment: Sesto sits on the opposite side of Milan from Rho. It makes sense for specific services that are hard to find in Sesto, not for everyday routine maintenance.

Settimo Milanese

Settimo Milanese is one of the inner-ring Milan municipalities that has changed most in the last twenty years: grown as a residential area of detached houses and mid-recent apartment blocks, on the border with the Parco delle Cave in Milan. Nineteen thousand inhabitants, a population on average younger and more dynamic than the provincial average. Our location is 10 km away, reachable in 15 minutes via A4 with the Pero exit or via SP114. The typical Settimo customer is one who combines work in Milan, residence just outside the city, and the need for quality body shop work that isn't always available in small local workshops.

Vanzago

Vanzago sits 5 km north-west of our location, reachable in 9 minutes via SP109. A municipality of about 9,000 inhabitants, it hosts the WWF Oasis at the Bosco di Vanzago, one of the best-known protected nature reserves in northern Milan. The character is predominantly residential, with the village of Mantegazza and a population that mixes commuters toward Milan and Rho, alongside a few small shops and craft businesses along SP109.
