Workshop and body shop in Arese

Arese carries a specific automotive history: the Alfa Romeo plant that shaped the town's planning for nearly fifty years, today coexisting with one of Italy's largest shopping malls. The result: 19,000 residents and a daily flow of commuters, mall workers and visitors. For many of them, leaving the car with us while running errands at the mall or visiting the Alfa Romeo Museum is the most practical solution among workshops in the north-western catchment.

Getting to Mazzo di Rho from Arese

The natural route is the SS33 Sempione, which from central Arese reaches Mazzo di Rho in about 10 minutes over 6 km. For those leaving from the industrial zone or the mall area, the A52 (Northern Ring Road) with the Lainate-Arese exit is slightly faster outside peak times. Note: in the late afternoon the mall’s evening exit creates predictable queues on A52 between 6:30 and 8 PM.

Arese in a nutshell

The defining figure for Arese is the ratio between municipal size (19,000 inhabitants) and the scale of what it hosts: Il Centro shopping mall (92,000 sqm of retail surface, among the largest in Italy) and the former Alfa Romeo plant under redevelopment. This creates traffic well above what a town of this size would normally see, with consequences for cars: minor parking knocks, trolley scratches, low-speed collisions on the roundabouts leading to the mall. A meaningful share of our Arese clientele comes in for exactly this kind of cosmetic damage.

What Arese customers ask for most

  • Body shop touch-ups for parking damage — scratches, trolley dents, low-speed knocks
  • Scheduled services on Alfa Romeo and the Stellantis range with original parts and warranty retention
  • Polishing and paint restoration for cars often parked outdoors
  • Electronic diagnostics on FCA/Stellantis models with proprietary systems
FAQ

Frequently asked questions for clients in Arese

Is it better to take A52 or SS33 from Arese?

It depends on the starting point in Arese. If you're leaving from the mall area or the industrial zone to the west, A52 with the Lainate-Arese exit saves 2-3 minutes. From the town centre and the residential streets, SS33 through Lainate toward Mazzo di Rho is more direct. During peak hours (mall office exit between 7 and 8 PM) A52 gets congested — better to stick with SS33.

Do you also work on the classic Alfa Romeos still driving around Arese?

For routine mechanical maintenance yes, including recent models of the brand. For full restorations on classic models (Giulia GT, Spider, 75) we prefer to point customers to body shops specialized in vintage restoration, who have the dedicated equipment and know-how for original paintwork and NOS parts sourcing.

Can I leave the car and reach the mall on foot, or do I need transport?

On foot it takes 35-40 minutes, not very practical. Most Arese customers who leave the car with us for half a day get a ride from a family member, or ask for a replacement car if the job takes the whole day.
