Cornaredo to Mazzo di Rho route
From Cornaredo’s main roundabout you take SP172 northbound, crossing Settimo Milanese toward Mazzo di Rho. Just under 6 km, 10 minutes without traffic. From San Pietro all’Olmo the timing is identical along a similar route. As an alternative, those leaving from northern Cornaredo can join the western ring road and exit at Pero — particularly useful on Friday evenings when SP172 gets congested with returning commuters.
Cornaredo and the Southern Agricultural Park
Unlike the more urban municipalities of the north-west (Pero, Bollate, Rho), Cornaredo keeps a rural character along its southern boundaries, where the Southern Agricultural Park (Parco Agricolo Sud Milano) begins. This trait reflects in the typical clientele of the area: resident families with multiple vehicles, motorcycle owners using their bikes for leisure, a few customers with light commercial or service vehicles for farm work. Less corporate traffic than Bollate or Rho, more household maintenance spread across multiple vehicles.
What Cornaredo customers most often bring in
- Routine maintenance spread across 2-3 vehicles in the same household
- Motorcycle services and inspections in spring, before summer use
- Bringing idle cars back into service after long periods of inactivity
- Body shop work for urban damage picked up on commutes into Milan
