Workshop and body shop in Vanzago

Vanzago sits 5 km north-west of our location, reachable in 9 minutes via SP109. A municipality of about 9,000 inhabitants, it hosts the WWF Oasis at the Bosco di Vanzago, one of the best-known protected nature reserves in northern Milan. The character is predominantly residential, with the village of Mantegazza and a population that mixes commuters toward Milan and Rho, alongside a few small shops and craft businesses along SP109.

Vanzago to Mazzo di Rho route

Five kilometres on SP109 south-eastbound, 9 minutes outside peak hours (12-15 minutes between 7:30 and 9 AM). From Mantegazza the timing is slightly longer due to the internal stretch. As an alternative, those coming from southern Vanzago can route through Pregnana and avoid the central SP109 stretch when it’s congested.

Vanzago, the Oasis and the neighborhood

Vanzago is one of the most residential and least-trafficked municipalities in Tommy By’s catchment. The WWF Oasis at the Bosco di Vanzago (one of the very few forest reserves in northern Milan) shapes the territory in urban planning terms too: detached houses, gardens, a slower pace of life than the towns along the Sempione axis. For Tommy By the typical Vanzago customer is the resident with one or two family cars to maintain over the medium-to-long term, with a preference for a trusted workshop they don’t switch often.

Services most requested by Vanzago customers

  • Seasonal tire storage with vehicle ID, convenient for those without a roomy garage

  • Body shop work on occasional collisions picked up on commutes to Milan or Rho
FAQ

Frequently asked questions for clients in Vanzago

For a seasonal tire change, are you the better choice or a local tire shop in Vanzago?

For just a tire swap with tires you already own, a local tire shop in town is more immediate. With us it's worth coming when you want to combine the seasonal change with alignment, on-site tire storage, or when you're getting other workshop work done in the same visit (service, inspection, brakes). Tire storage uses labeled bags with photo and vehicle ID.

How can I get here from Vanzago avoiding morning traffic on SP109?

SP109 is the direct route but can slow down between 7:30 and 9 AM due to commuter traffic. In that window it's better to exit Vanzago southbound (through Pregnana) and arrive via Pregnana-Rho with similar timing but less dense traffic. For booked slots, we suggest scheduling arrival after 9 AM where possible.

Do you work on cars that have been sitting idle for long periods (e.g. second cars, inherited vehicles)?

Yes, it's not an uncommon request in quiet residential areas like Vanzago. Typically you need a general diagnostic check, battery replacement, brake and tire inspection, plus an MOT-equivalent inspection if expired. We provide the quote after an initial assessment.
