Audi workshop and body shop

At our Mazzo di Rho workshop we regularly service Audi A1, A3, A4, A6, Q2, Q3, Q5 and Q7 cars, in TFSI petrol, TDI diesel and PHEV (e-tron) versions. Modern Audis share the MQB and MLB Evo platforms with the rest of the VAG group, and diagnostics require ODIS-compatible protocols to handle the various ECUs. Tommy By is an independent multi-brand workshop: under EU Regulation 461/2010 (Block Exemption) you can keep the manufacturer's warranty by servicing the car here, provided the work is carried out at the intervals set by Audi, with parts of equivalent quality and the service booklet properly stamped.

Audi technical areas we cover

  • TFSI petrol engines — 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 with direct injection, with GPF from 2018 onwards
  • TDI diesel engines — 2.0 and 3.0 V6 common-rail, SCR with AdBlue
  • S-tronic DSG gearbox — 6-speed wet-clutch DQ250, 7-speed wet-clutch DQ500 on the higher-output quattro models
  • Quattro Ultra — on-demand all-wheel drive that disengages below set torque thresholds (A4, A5, Q5)
  • MQB and MLB Evo platforms — shared across the VW Group, with broad parts availability
  • Service Inspection — every 30,000 km or 24 months, with intermediate LongLife oil changes governed by the oil-quality sensor

The Audi jobs customers ask for most

  • Audi scheduled service with LongLife oil to VW spec 504.00 / 507.00
  • S-tronic DSG oil and filter replacement
  • GPF / DPF regeneration and diagnostics
  • AdBlue top-up and SCR system diagnostics
  • Iridium spark plug replacement on TFSI engines (60,000 km interval)
  • ECU diagnostics and coding after battery replacement
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Audi

Do you have VAS/ODIS diagnostic equipment for Audi ECUs?

We use diagnostic tooling compatible with the VAG group's VAS5054/ODIS protocols (Audi, VW, Skoda, Seat). This lets us read and manage the engine, the S-tronic DSG transmission, ABS/ESP, climate control and the ADAS systems. More involved server-side SVM coding can be referred to the authorised dealer when needed.

Does the wet-clutch S-tronic gearbox need any specific maintenance?

Yes. The wet-clutch 7-speed DSG (DQ500 on the more powerful Audi quattro models) needs an oil and filter change roughly every 60,000 km, separate from the engine service. The 6-speed wet-clutch DSG (DQ250) follows the same interval. We carry out the full procedure with the dedicated fluid and reset the gearbox adaptations afterwards.

My post-2018 A3 TFSI has a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) — does it need attention?

Yes. From Euro 6d-Temp onwards every TFSI Audi carries a GPF (gasoline particulate filter), and on heavily urban duty cycles we sometimes see frequent regeneration events. We check the GPF status via diagnostics and, if needed, run a forced regeneration cycle in the workshop.
